1. What this service is
ArtJeck Technology ("ArtJeck", "we") operates a software-engineering service that computes quarterly IFTA returns from mileage and fuel data you supply. The service produces:
- a state-portal-ready CSV of per-jurisdiction lines,
- one Excel file per truck for owner-operator reconciliation, and
- a review note generated by an automated AI agent.
ArtJeck is not a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA), licensed tax preparer, or licensed IFTA filing service. The output of the service is a computed worksheet and an AI-assisted review — not professional tax advice.
2. What you're responsible for
- Data accuracy. The mileage and fuel data you upload is the source of truth for the calculation. We do not independently verify it against your ELD, GPS, or fuel-card records.
- Filing. You file the return with your state portal yourself. We do not submit anything to a state agency on your behalf.
- Verification before filing. Before you click Submit on the state portal, you confirm that the totals, per-state lines, and surcharge entries match your own records.
- Recordkeeping. You retain source documents for the IFTA-mandated 4 years after the filing deadline.
- Lawful use. You only submit data you have the right to submit for a real carrier operation. No fraudulent, falsified, or third-party data without authorization.
3. What ArtJeck is responsible for
- Math. Best-effort compliance with the published CDTFA and state-portal calculation rules current at the time of processing. The pipeline is regression-tested against real filings to the penny.
- Delivery. Your packet (portal CSV, per-truck Excels, review note) arrives by email at the address you provided.
- Security. Reasonable safeguards on uploaded files and stored data (HTTPS in transit, single-operator access at rest, third-party processors disclosed in our Privacy Policy).
4. Refunds and service warranty
The first quarterly filing for a new carrier is free. Subsequent filings are invoiced per-filing at the price quoted before processing.
Math-error refund. If you discover a material math error in the delivered packet within 7 daysof receiving it, contact us and we will issue a full refund of the fee paid for that filing. A "material math error" means a per-jurisdiction line, fleet MPG, taxable gallons, or total tax due that differs from what the same inputs should produce under the current IFTA rules.
Change-of-mind refund. No refund is issued for an accurate packet you simply decide not to use.
Unprocessed work.If we fail to deliver a packet (preflight fails on your inputs and we can't fix it, our pipeline is down, or we determine we can't serve your filing), you owe nothing and we refund any amount already paid for that filing in full.
5. Limits of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- ArtJeck is not liable for late filings, audit findings, audit costs, penalties, interest, professional fees, or any other consequential, incidental, or indirect damages, including those arising from inaccurate inputs you supply, your decision to file (or not file) based on the packet, or service unavailability.
- Our maximum aggregate liability to you under these Terms, for any cause, is limited to the total fees you paid to ArtJeck in the preceding 12 months.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g., fraud, gross negligence, statutory consumer rights in your jurisdiction).
6. Acceptable use
- Use the service only for legitimate commercial trucking IFTA filings.
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, automate against, or overload the service. The rate limits exist for a reason.
- Do not submit data for a third party without their written authorization.
7. Service availability
The service is offered on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime service-level agreement. We may take the service offline for maintenance, infrastructure changes, or to remediate abuse. If a paid filing is impacted by an outage, the refund clause above applies.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for any account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved first by good-faith negotiation; if that fails, in the small-claims or state courts located in California.
