1. What we collect
To process your IFTA filing, the service collects:
- Submission data:the email address you provide, the carrier name (optional), the quarter you're filing for, and the contents of the mileage and fuel files you upload (truck IDs, per-state miles, per-state gallons, dates, vendor names where they appear in your raw exports).
- Operational metadata: the IP address making the upload (for rate-limiting and abuse prevention), timestamps, HTTP user-agent strings, and the result of the CAPTCHA challenge.
- Correspondence: any email you send to or receive from
hello@artjeck.comorifta@artjeck.com.
We do notcollect payment card or bank account data. Payment for paid filings is handled out-of-band (Zelle) directly between you and the bank — those transactions don't touch this service.
2. How we use it
- To run the pipeline that produces your filing packet.
- To send you the packet, plus confirmation and failure emails.
- To debug failures — if your submission errors out, the operator may inspect the uploaded files and DB row to fix the issue.
- To enforce abuse controls (rate limits, CAPTCHA).
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not share submission contents with anyone other than the third-party processors listed below.
3. Third-party processors
The service relies on these third parties; each receives only the slice of data needed for its role:
- Cloudflare (US): tunnel between artjeck.com and our compute server, DNS, and the Turnstile CAPTCHA. Cloudflare sees request metadata (IP, headers) and the CAPTCHA interaction. It does not see the uploaded file contents in any meaningful form.
- Vercel (US): hosts the artjeck.com marketing site and its serverless functions. Receives the same metadata browsers send any web server.
- Resend (US): transactional email delivery. Receives your email address and the packet attachments (CSV, Excel, the review note).
- Anthropic (US): hosts the AI agent that generates the review note. Receives processed numerical data(per-state totals, fleet MPG, validator findings) — not your raw mileage and fuel files. Anthropic's commercial terms apply.
4. Where the data lives
Submission files and the jobs database live on a single physical machine operated by ArtJeck. The compute server is not in a public cloud; it is locally administered. There is currently no cloud backup of submission contents.
5. How long we keep it
- Submission files and outputs: retained on disk for up to 90 days after the packet is delivered, then deleted. We keep them briefly to handle follow-up questions and re-deliveries.
- Job records (SQLite row): retained for up to 12 months for operational analytics (which states do customers file from, error rates).
- Email correspondence:kept per Resend's default retention and our own mailbox retention.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Deleteyour submission files, outputs, and DB records (we'll do it within 30 days; we may retain limited records where required for tax/audit purposes).
- Correct any inaccuracies in stored data (e.g., wrong email address on a past submission).
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA (right to know, right to delete, right to non-discrimination). To exercise any of these, email hello@artjeck.com with the subject line "Privacy request".
7. Security
- HTTPS for all browser ↔ server traffic, end-to-end via Cloudflare.
- Single-operator access to stored data; no multi-tenant database.
- Disk encryption on the compute server.
- Reasonable industry safeguards. No security posture is perfect — if you become aware of a vulnerability, please email hello@artjeck.com.
8. Children's privacy
This service is intended for commercial trucking carriers. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
